Michelle Anna Pagano specializes in Public Relations & Marketing, specifically writing, branding, social media management, and website development.
Michelle graduated from C.W. Post with a B.F.A. in Print and Electronic Journalism with minors in Electronic Media and Italian in 2007. While attending Post, Michelle worked as the News Editor for the school’s newspaper, the Pioneer. She received First Place in News Writing for the Newsday School Journalism Awards Contest and First Place for Post Television’s Best News Package.
In 2008, Michelle founded Bier Magazine, an online magazine for craft brewers. She was also a contributing writer for the Manhasset Press, The Roslyn News, Glen Cove Record Pilot, Port Washington News, NY Spa Blog, and Port Washington Patch. For 12 years, Michelle has worked the press office for SCO Family of Services (2007-2008), Archdiocese of New York (2008-2014), the Entertainment Software Rating Board (2014-2015), and her own firm, Neptune Media Relations (2013-2017).
Craft Beer & Cider
Today, Michelle is the Assistant Cider Maker at Descendant Cider Co. in New York City. She is also a gluten-free homebrewer and writer for TheOutcask.com (formerly Bier Magazine, Inc.), and a Social Media Influencer @TheBrewBabe — a page dedicated to sharing her educational experiences, cider & beer reviews, and information on living gluten-free with her followers.
In May 2019, she attended Cornell AgriTech and received a certification in Perry & Cider Production. In September 2019, she became a Certified Cider Professional, administered by the United States Association of Cider Makers.

Michelle enjoys participating in group brew days, judging cider competitions, participating in craft beer/cider events, and offering gluten-free beer and cider at festivals on Long Island. She is currently an active member of the American Homebrewers Association, Handgrenades Homebrew Craft Beer Club, and Long Island Beer & Malt Enthusiasts.
